I have participated in GSoC this (2010) year. It was wonderful to work under direction of Eliot Miranda.

The project was a cross-platform Smalltalk FFI (A port of GNU Smalltalk''s CObject to Squeak).

The ported FFI actually works but have some shortcomings which I will have to resolve. You can try it out using my development images for Cog VM:

• .image file (~72 MBytes);
• .changes file (~10 MBytes);
• changeset file (~4 KBytes);

I have tested it under Windows only since I had some problems with Cog on Linux.
